About The Area
Kippford, a beautiful village only 15 minutes stroll down the hill, consists of a waterside street of unusual granite and white-washed houses, a gift shop, a yacht club and two popular Hotels (one with a conservatory for morning coffee and a small games room, the other with a small American pool room where under 18s can play safely).
There are few better places to spend the evening than watching the sun go down over the yachts, admiring the surrounding hills, and enjoying a quiet drink.
At the end of the village are two beautiful sand, shell & pebble beaches, sheltered by rock outcrops.
One looks up the estuary towards the village, the other has stunning views over the outer bay and islands, and is often good for fishing on the rising tide.
